Spanish GEDI Project

In cooperation with GEM Spain and Bankinter, GEDI is working with nine Spanish regions to produce targeted strategies for fostering entrepreneurship.

Over the second half of 2013, entrepreneurs and policymakers from the regions of Andalucía, Aragón, Canarias, Castilla La Mancha, Cataluña, Extremadura, Murcia, País Vasco and Valencia with gather with GEM and GEDI to examine regional entrepreneurship data–both individual and institutional–develop a nuanced understanding of what holds back entrepreneurs in these regions, and create targeted policy recommendations to remove these barriers.

This is the second in a series of projects aimed at taking the GEDI approach to the regional level, engaging with experts, entrepreneurs and policymakers on the ground to create policy change that drives growth.
